Grand canyon is one of the most famous canyons in the world. It is a beautiful steep-sided canyon carved by the Colorado river. Its in the state of Arizona and its a very popular trip destination among the tourists. Millions of tourists travel there per year. It's about 446km long, 29km wide and 1800m deep. it's surrounded by one of the first national parks of USA, Grand Canyon National Park. Major John Wesley was the first known person to explore Grand Canyon in 1869. I chose Grand Canyon because I think it's a beautiful place and I'd like to travel there sometime.
